The Maine Summer Adventure Race takes place annually in June at and around the Hidden Valley Nature Center in Jefferson, Maine.
Teams of two, three, or four people race across land and water in a search for checkpoints hidden in the woods and on the waters of beautiful midcoast Maine.
First-time adventure racers and families can check out the sport with our beginner-friendly, 2-hour adventure race with special challenges, while seasoned racers or teams looking to challenge themselves more can take on the full 10-hour race, involving trail running (or hiking), biking, paddling and orienteering.
The race is hosted by the Midcoast Conservancy and designed by the members of Strong Machine Adventure Racing.
The 2016 race took place on July 23, 2016. The date for the 2017 race will be announced soon. Sign up below for our newsletter to receive race updates.
